Each year, the Sarasota Film Festival brings some of the biggest names in film to town to talk about their work, to explore their ideas in-depth and share their artistry with our audiences. This year’s series promises to be the best yet.
Kevin Kline

Kevin Kline is one of the finest actors of his generation. After studying at Julliard, Kline helped found The Acting Company, which brought touring productions of Shakespeare’s plays to audiences around America. Mr. Kline’s work on the stage garnered him two Tony Awards. In 1982, Mr. Kline made his film debut opposite Meryl Streep in SOPHIE’S CHOICE and has never looked back, with memorable performances in THE BIG CHILL, GRAND CANYON, DAVE, THE ICE STORM, DE-LOVELY and his Academy Award winning turn in A FISH CALLED WANDA. His role as Henry Harrison in our 2010 Opening Night Film THE EXTRA MAN is sure to be remembered for years to come and we are proud to welcome Kevin Kline for this rare conversation about his unparalleled career.

Join us as celebrate Ms. Clarkson’s tremendous career with an in-depth conversation about her work as one of the cinema’s most intriguing actors.
Vincent D’Onofrio

Vincent D’Onofrio is known as an “actor’s actor.” The wide variety of roles he has played and the quality of his work have earned him a reputation as a versatile talent. He studied at the Actors Studio and the American Stanislavski Theatre, before getting his big break with an unforgettable role in Stanley Kubrick’s FULL METAL JACKET. His film career features memorable roles in MYSTIC PIZZA, MEN IN BLACK, DYING YOUNG, ED WOOD and THE CELL, but it is his portrayal of Detective Robert Goren on LAW AND ORDER: CRIMINAL INTENT that has likely given him his greatest public recognition. Mr. D’Onofrio recently directed DON’T GO INTO THE WOODS.
