This acclaimed two-part epic is about a lot of things -the nature of art, entertainment, and commodity. The effects of cultural shifts on a small community. Creative partnerships, and the heart of inspiration. It follows Dorothea and her partner, Greta, who have spent the last 40 years running The Bread Factory, a community arts space in their fictional New York town of Checkford, who must grapple with the impact of a celebrity performance artist couple from China who opens a competing arts venue in town that steals the limelight with a certain contemporary pop-art flamboyancy that classic liberal arts devotees, Dorothea and Greta, can not appreciate or respect. A BREAD FACTORY features the final performance of late, great British actor Brian Murray, and a stunning ensemble cast including Tyne Daly, Jeanine Garofalo, and James Marsters.
