Bendetta was an iconic fashion model in the 1960’s -a stunning Italian beauty who was a muse to Warhol, Dali, Penn, and Avedon. In the 1970’s, she was an outspoken radical feminist who devoted herself wholly to the emancipation of women. Now in her mid-70’s, Bendetta wants nothing more to disappear entirely from our image-obsessed world of maligned beauty idolatry. Her son, director, screenwriter, and cinematographer, Benjamino Barrese wishes instead to immortalize her in one last, definitively honest cinematic portrait. Tensions run high as art comes to life from life itself.
