DREAM OF A CITY is a surrealist portrait of a rapidly evolving New York City between 1958 and 1960, shot on tactile 16mm black and white film by groundbreaking documentarian Manny Kirchheimer (CANNERS, MY COFFEE WITH JEWISH FRIENDS) and Walter Hess. This sensorially immersive cinematic experience is as much a meditative trip through time as it is an act of channeling the ghost of a bygone New York City through pointed abstractions of sound and image.
