CONNIE NIELSEN has combined a career in Oscar winners, blockbusters, indie dramas, and international films with a commitment to social issues and humanitarian causes. As co-founder of the Human Need Project — a non-profit that provides infrastructure and empowerment services to residents of Kibera, Kenya — and as founder/president of the Road to Freedom scholarship program for girls in Kibera, Nielsen has brought attention to global environmental and poverty issues. She’ll talk about all of that plus the Academy Award®-winning GLADIATOR, the TV hits I AM THE NIGHT and THE GOOD WIFE, and playing Hippolyta, mother of the iconic title superhero in WONDER WOMAN and this summer’s WONDER WOMAN 1984.
