The Manchurian Candidate (1962)

THE MANCHURIAN CANDIDATE follows a brainwashed Korean War veteran turned “”sleeper agent”” primed to kill on command as part of a communist conspiracy to overthrow the US government. Directly commenting on Cold War tensions, this Academy-Award nominated classic features Hollywood royalty Frank Sinatra, Angela Lansbury, Laurence Harvey, and Janet Leigh in their prime, and a titanic score by David Amram that is widely considered one of the greatest film scores of all time.
