Asako I & II

Asako, a young woman from Osaka, falls in love with Baku, who mysteriously disappears one day. Two years later, Asako moves to Tokyo and meets Ryohei, a young businessman who bears an uncanny resemblance to her first love. ASAKO I & II is an unusual romantic drama based on the 2010 novel by Tomoka Shibasaki that doesn't assume a love story needs to culminate with clear resolution to be deeply resonant and ring true.
