Sarasota Film Festival 2022

The In Conversation With series features in-depth interviews with iconic Hollywood artists led by a member of the national press. Join us for a unique opportunity to learn from and experience the contemporary architects of cinema first-hand.

Screen legend and Golden Globe® winner Jacqueline Bisset has appeared in countless classics like “Bullitt”, “Airport”, and “Murder On The Orient Express”. Over the past 55+ years, Jacqueline’s prolific career has seen her both work with famed auteurs (like François Traffaut on “Day For Night” and George Cukor on his final film “Rich And Famous”) and make box office hits out of films like “The Deep” and “Class” with her effortless beauty, poignancy, and charm. Just a few of her notable performances include her work in “Under The Volcano”, “The Sleepy Time Gal”, “Anna Karenina”, “The Grasshopper”, and “Welcome To New York”. Jacqueline will discuss everything from her early work opposite James Brolin in 1967’s “The Cape Town Affair” to her award- winning performance in 2013’s “Dancing On The Edge” to her latest role in SFF’s 2022 Closing Night Film: “Loren & Rose”.

As an actress known for her naturalistic performances and for mining the depths of complex characters with honesty and ease, SFF alumni Jena Malone has captivated audiences for over 25 years with her work in films spanning from acclaimed indies such as “In Our Nature”, “Time Out Of Mind”, and “Lorelei” (all of which played prior editions of SFF) to blockbusters like Zack Snyder’s “Sucker Punch” and “The Hunger Games” series. Equally as at home in cult favorites such as “Donnie Darko” and “Saved!” as she is in Oscar® contenders like Sean Penn’s “Into The Wild” and Paul Thomas Anderson’s “Inherent Vice”, Jena will discuss her decades-spanning career starting with her performance in Angelica Huston’s “Bastard Out Of Carolina” all the way through to her work in SFF’s 2022 Opening Night Film: “Porcupine”.
